Out of Time and Place (II)

   These moving image works are an extension of the photographic series Out of Time and Place. The first exhibition to bring a wide selection of these video works spanning more than 15 years together took place at The Container gallery in Nakameguro, Tokyo, in 2020.
The latest work in this series, "Out of Time and Place 2020", uses CGI as an extension of photography, questioning expectations of truth and authenticity that are inherent in the medium of photography. Others combine multiple timelines within one video frame, while others simply document a simple action/motion in the landscape.
